CT Cross Disability Lifespan Alliance

The CT Cross Disability Lifespan Alliance is a statewide coalition of individuals and organizations that advocate for the full inclusion and participation of all people with disabilities in their communities.

The CCDLA meets every other month to share resources, promote issues of importance and to advocate for solutions that improve the quality of lives for people with disabilities. In addition, the Alliance hosts Policy calls every other week (or more frequently as needed) to address policy issues at the local, state, and national levels.

The Alliance also hosts a Candidates Forum on Disability Issues every other year during the elections. These forums are a premier event of the Alliance and attract 350 to 450 attendees. The nonpartisan event features questions to the candidates which are developed by Alliance members. Candidates are also given an opportunity to express their views on disability issues.

The CCDLA is the advocacy arm of CT SILC. This alliance of parents, self-advocates and providers meets monthly to address issues affecting people with disabilities in CT.
