Focus: Community living for all people with disabilities – what we know and what we need to do.
Who Should Attend: Legislators, advocates, people with disabilities, families and service providers are invited to attend this event.

Speakers
- JAMES CONROY – Dr. Conroy is an Internationally recognized researcher on outcomes for people with disabilities who have lived in institutional settings such as Connecticut’s Mansfield Training School.
- JEAN BOWEN – Ms. Bowen is a Social Justice Advocate. As former Director of WECAHR in Danbury, she advocated to improve the lives of the residents at Southbury Training School.
- Barry Simon – Mr. Simon is the President and CEO of Oak Hill, the largest community services provider for people with disabilities in Connecticut.
INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES – Individuals with disabilities who have moved out of institutions will speak about their great lives in the community.
